Salah satu implementasi GLS (Gerakan Literasi Sekolah ) tertuang dalam Permendikbud No. 23 Tahun 2015, yaitu penumbuhan minat baca melalui kegiatan 15 menit membaca. Hal itu bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai budi pekerti yang baik di bangku sekolah. Dengan adanya GLS, diharapkan akan terwujud masyarakat dengan budaya literasi yang tinggi.
SMA Negeri Kerjo sebagai bagian dari dunia pendidikan mengimplementasikannya dengan jadwal Literasi Baca yaitu di hari Selasa s.d. Jumat pada pukuk 06.50 s.d. 07.00 WIB. Murid membaca buku teks non buku pelajaran dan menuliskanya di jurnal literasi baca Link
Perpustakaan sekolah menyediakan buku buku bacaan untuk mendukung GLS. Silakan Berkunjung di perpustakaan sekolah. Koordinator GLS kelas bertugas menjaga ketertiban pelaksanaan literasi baca.
